At Majellan Medical Centre, our goal is to provide timely care to all patients. When an appointment is missed or cancelled at short notice, it impacts your continuity of care and prevents us from offering that time to another patient in need. As a courtesy, we send an SMS reminder the day before your scheduled appointment. However, arriving on time remains the patient's responsibility.

• First Instance: We understand that unexpected events happen. If you miss an appointment or cancel with short notice for the first time, no fee will be charged. Instead, you will receive a formal Warning Notice to remind you of our policy.

• Failure to Attend / Late Cancellation Fee: If a second or subsequent appointment is missed, or cancelled with less than 2 hours' notice, a non-attendance fee will be applied to your account based on the booking type:

  • Standard Appointment: $50

  • Long Appointment: $100

• Medicare Exclusions: Please note that these fees are out-of-pocket and cannot be claimed through Medicare or private health insurance. The balance must be settled before future bookings can be made.
